Who We Are

Tatcha is a skincare brand rooted in Japanese beauty and wellness rituals. We bring the meaningful traditional Japanese philosophies, aesthetics, and ways of life through our brand and our products.  Brand Heritage has been serving as Tatcha’s hub for Japanese culture, working cross-functionally to ensure our unique point of differentiation is intact.  

This role reports to the Executive Director of Brand Heritage bringing Japanese beauty heritage into our modern lifestyle.

Location:  This role is based in San Francisco,  eligibility to work in the United States as a Japanese National is required for this role.

Ideal Candidate: We are seeking candidates that have a deep understanding of Japanese heritage  and culture.  Our preferred candidate is from Japan,  with experience living in the United States for a least 5 years.

Language Skills: For this role you must have Japanese Native and Business level language skills. This includes speaking, reading and writing.

 

What We Need

In this role, you will be responsible for helping to design and bring Japan's beauty history into the brand through product and marketing initiatives. The Manager will help drive projects in collaboration with cross-functional team members.  

Each day at Tatcha is different with new problems to solve and tasks to tackle, but here is an idea of some of the things you will work on:

Under the direction of Executive Director of Brand Heritage you will be assist with the following:   

  • Product Development
    • Work closely with the Innovation team to identify and bringJapanese elements  to life.
    • Support quarterly Blue Sky presentations through research, creating briefs on up to date Japanese beauty information. 
  • Marketing
    • Lead ongoing research and briefing on Japanese heritage, trends and insights.
    • Ideate, collaborate and brief Product Marketing & Brand Marketing teams.
    • Maintain a close partnership with the Creative team on ideation and executions.
    • Working closely with the Japanese local team on in-county activations.
  • DTC
    • Work closely and support .com team on email and other initiatives
  • People & HR
    • Collaborate, ideate, and support cultural activities
    • Support on Monthly corporate communication
    • Support onboarding and other educational programs
  • Other
    • Explore and manage external Japanese partner relationships
    • Manage gratis orders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • 5 + years of experience in Marketing
  • 3 + years in beauty industry is a plus


The Details:
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $115,000 depending on the skill level.  This is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and capability of individuals.

Tatcha offers a competitive benefits package to eligible employees.

Additionally, this position is eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus program which is based on personal performance and company results.
